- Assessment – using standardised and non-standardised assessments. Multi-disciplinary assessment is available with an Occupational Therapist and Speech-Language Pathologist if required.
- Intervention and planning – discussion around the specific needs of the child and family to develop a treatment plan. Individual interventions are developed specific to these identified needs.
- Interventions are provided within the clinic, home environment, school or early childhood settings.
- Types of interventions may include:
- behavioural support and strategies
- anxiety management
- parent education
- toileting support
- counselling
- mealtime strategies
- program planning and planning for educational placements
- Inclusion support – childcare, C&K, and school visits are available to implement strategies to best support the child’s successful inclusion in these settings.
- Counselling for parents and children around their particular concerns (eg anxiety, depression, coping)
- Collaboration with other professionals such as GPs, Paediatricians, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Physiotherapists, teachers, and carers.
- Parent and educator training and workshops
